Training course: Creating new tools for genocide education 2010-10-08 - 2010-10-15, Short description: The topic is extremely sensitive and widely debated in media as well as by public opinion. Because of the sensitive nature of the topic, it is not widely debated in youth work. Young people are not aware of it, and have not a clear understanding of genocide and its forms of existence. Partner promoters in this project thought of an idea that could lead youth workers to explore genocide education and human rights education, thus developing tools in promoting the topic among other youth, in fighting this phenomenon. In order to achieve this goal partner promoters designed this training course. It will provide background on the topic in order that participants get familiar with the term genocide and what forms is has had in European and world history. This way we can than work further with participants in educating young people against this phenomena and promoting human rights as a core educational methodology helpful in tackling genocide in youth work. |

International Seminar for Students 2010-04-23 - 2010-05-03, Short description: The seminar is designed for students up to 26 years of age and is part of a project conducted by the “Geschichtswerkstatt Europa”. The seminar will be held in the International Youth Meeting Centre of the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding (www.krzyzowa.org.pl), with a number of excursions to Breslau/Wroclaw and Reichenbach/Dzierzoniow to complete the programme. An exhibition will be created at the end of the seminar. The working language is English, however, knowledge of German and Polish is strongly desired (as many sources are available only in these languages). |

title of our project is: „Amber is a colour, too” Our
association wants to share its experience and meat with Youth NGOs from
Meda
and EU. The Seminar will bring together potential partners from Meda
and EU and

in main Place ‘Piac tér’ in Debrecen in Hungary!!! So „Amber is the
colour” we
worked with rock music of EuroMed region and this occassion we would
like to focus
on world music. |

A Tolerant Discovery of New Different Cultures 2009-07-01 - 2009-07-08, A Tolerant Discovery of New Different Cultures Short description: The total of 30 Lithuanian and Israeli young people will meet together in Troskunai Culture and Education Centre, where the cultural youth exchange project „A Tolerant Discovery of New Different Cultures“ will take place. The meeting will take place for 7 days (01-08, July 2009). The goal of this project is to foster intercultural knowledge and create an open society of active young citizens and to educate tolerant attitudes towards different culture, religion and society. The programme will consist of stimulation of intercultural communication, intercultural dialogue and tolerance. The project will take place in Lithuania, therefore the participants will have a possibility to get to know Lithuanian culture and people. There will be a trip to the second city of Lithuania, Kaunas, which has quite a lot of culturally and historically distinct places, e.g., IXth Fort museum. The young people will also visit the Tolerance centre in Kolping college, Kaunas churches, Kaunas Synagugue, get to know the history of Jews in Lithuania and visit other historically distinct places. The other part of the programme will take place in Troskunai Culture and Education Centre, where Israeli and Lithuanian youth will present their national culture through creative methods, active participation and non-formal education methods. There will be work groups and discussions on the topics of tolerance, intercultural communication, cultural nights and various games giving possibility to better get to know each other. |

Culture and Art in Non-formal Education for Youth Activities 2009-04-01 - 2009-04-07, Short description: The main aim of the project is to promote art and culture in non-formal education for the Youth in Action Program and specifically youth workers, youngsters, organizers, youth trainers in order to give them better understanding the non-formal education methods and different ideas to use artistic and cultural values to create projects within Youth Program. We think that through these international projects they can acquire very important skills for example teamwork, leadership, organization and management skills and also the ability to show initiative in challenging circumstances. |

Righteous Reunion 2008 2008-10-27 - 2008-11-07, Short description: This years’ project is the third edition of the Polish-German-Israeli youth meetings on the subject of Righteous Among the Nations. The first one took place in July 2005 when a workshop scenario about Righteous Among the Nations was created. In the second edition in 2006 the participants prepared a theatre performance, photo exhibition and a radio feature concerning the subject. In 2007 during the third edition an exhibition on a particular story – of two Polish Righteous Jaroslawa and Izydor Wolosianski - has been developed. In overall about 60 young people from Poland, Germany and Israel got involved in the project till now. |

Exhibit yourself 2008-02-28 - 2008-03-08, Exhibit yourself Short description: In this project each day representatives from different countries represented their culture: we ate their food, danced folk dances and played sport games; moreover, we even studied about their art as well as talked about religions. All this made us feel like each day we woke up in a different country, while, in fact, we lived in a beautiful little city near the river. Of course, we also visited the Budapest itself. We were very impressed by its amazing beauty, but how could we go on without any parties? When so many young people get together from different places in the world, it is impossible to finish the day without things that we love so much like music, drinks and dances. In conclusion, this was an unforgettable experience that will last forever. The experience in which you get the feeling of being in another country in addition to getting to know new cultures and new friends; and all this with a lot of joy and fun! |
